About The National Campaign to End the Korean War
The National Campaign to End the Korean War is the collaboration of several leading Korean-American, veterans, and human rights organizations working to promote a U.S.-Korea policy that will bring about a lasting peace on the Korean peninsula. Their goal is to finally end the 1950-1953 Korean War through the signing of a peace treaty between the United States and North Korea.

Given the historic opening for peaceful relations with the election of President Obama, this coalition formed to strengthen their ability to uphold President Obama’s campaign promise to foreign policy that emphasizes diplomacy and negotiation, and to engage in dialogue without preconditions with other countries as a means for resolving tensions.

My Comments:
It’s been over 55 years and we’re still at war. It’s time to put the politics aside, end it with a peace treaty and work towards the future of a Korea that is no longer divided. The Campaign has an online petition on their website. If you support finding a peaceful end to this war, please sign the petition.

The Importance of Branded Email Addresses and Websites for Acupuncturists

By Henry, May 23, 2009 4:06 pm
Having a branded email address and website are important for acupuncturists

Having a branded email address and website are important for acupuncturists

Is your email address still yourname+yearofbirth@gmail.com? Or perhaps it’s something more exciting like iroxthiswholeworld@att.net, or drunkdude164@rocketmail.com ? It may be ok to give those out to your friends. But you do not want to give those out to your clients or patients.

In the world of business, you want to have your own professional, branded email address and website that only promotes your practice.

Why?

Professionalism. Compare having the email address Balla4life3@yahoo.com versus henry@evosiawellness.com Which one better represents your professional practice as an acupuncturist? Which one looks like a real business? Everything you give out to your customers should represent you, right down to the smallest detail.

Trustworthiness. In the anonymous Internet world, it’s really difficult to know who you can trust. There are scams everywhere. Even in real life, we often run through a subconscious list of indicators to see if someone is trustable or not. So whose website would you give your money to: www.verizon.net/~theycmerollin56 or www.evosiawellness.com? Your custom branded website, and the email address it is based on, will add to your credibility. They bring congruence to the professional image you want to maintain for your existing and future patients.

Usability. yourname@yourdomain.com is a lot easier to remember than something you were trying to mash together at the last minute because all the good easy usernames were taken on Yahoo. You want to make it easy to remember, both for you and your patients.

Marketing. Having your own domain name and custom email address reinforces brand awareness for your practice. Having your practice’s email promoting gmail is like wearing a Nike swish symbol on your lab coat. You become a walking advertisement for someone else’s business. Plus, info@evosiawellness.com sounds a lot better than evosiawellness@gmail.com, doesn’t it? Marketing is important. It will set you apart from the pack.

How do I go about getting my own domain name and email?
I will cover this in my next article for Evotion Technology Services.

Evotion just launched its technology services for Acupuncturists and Chinese Medicine practitioners

Evotion is a technology company that specializes in providing services to nonprofits, governments, educational institutions, and small businesses. We recently launched a new set of consulting services specifically for acupuncturists and Chinese/Oriental Medicine practitioners.

We go beyond merely offering to build you a web site. Although we do build web sites, there are plenty of do-it-yourself tools out there we recommend for the budget conscious.

Where we add value is the consulting work we do in helping you align your technology needs with your practice. The actual programming is the easy part but which services should you choose? What should you have on your web site — content, feature and functionality wise? How should they be presented? Do you need a blog, mailing list, etc? How do you get your site in the search engines and improve your standings? Should you purchase online ads? What DIY tools are best? These are some of the questions we can help answer through our consulting services for you. We’re unique and we know our stuff.
